We are looking for an experienced Public Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger management, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support financial accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform bank reconciliations, verifying transactions and ensuring alignment with internal records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting challenges and streamline processes.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting tasks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of general ledger management and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with attention to detail.
• Expertise in account reconciliation practices and resolving discrepancies.
• Solid experience in performing bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
