Accountant (Contractor)
Deposco, recognized by USA Today as one of Atlanta's Top Places to Work for five consecutive years, is seeking an accomplished Accountant (Contractor) to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional eager to make an immediate impact in a dynamic, high-growth SaaS environment.
What You'll Do
Financial Close & Reporting: Assist in monthly accounting close procedures, ensuring proper period-end cut-off and adherence to the close schedule. Prepare and review account reconciliations, P&L analysis, and prepare monthly financial reports.
General Ledger Management: Handle day-to-day general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation, and oversee the end-to-end employee expense reimbursement process.
Audit & Tax Compliance: Support financial audits by acting as a key point of contact, preparing audit schedules, and providing required information and documentation. Coordinate and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.
Policy & Process Improvement: Develop, maintain, and utilize documented accounting policies, procedures, and control systems. Lead and participate in improvement projects, driving new ideas and tools to enhance world-class processes.
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a contractor or consulting capacity.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Sage Intacct or similar platforms is a plus.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842 is helpful.
Demonstrated experience with software implementation and integration projects, including accounting system upgrades, migrations, or the adoption of new financial tools.
