As a vital member of the Produce team, you will assist in receiving, preparing, and showcasing products while providing outstanding customer service that aligns with Whole Foods Market values. Key Responsibilities
Maintain clean and well-stocked displays, ensuring freshness by rotating products and removing expired items.
Support the Team Leader in organizing seasonal displays and promotions.
Monitor potential spoilage and communicate effectively with team leaders and management.
Complete necessary documentation such as spoilage and temperature worksheets.
Assist with periodic inventory tasks as needed.
Consistently arrive on time and prepared for your shifts, demonstrating a professional appearance.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and promoting products with expertise.
Maximize sales through effective product handling and display techniques.
Adhere to set procedures regarding health and safety standards.
Ensure a clean and sanitary environment, maintaining equipment and adhering to sanitation protocols.
Participate in all assigned duties, including opening and closing responsibilities.
Report safety hazards immediately to ensure a safe work environment.
Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by store leadership.
Skills Required
Proficient in proactive sales techniques. Ability to learn about various products in the department. Understanding of the differences between organic and conventional produce. Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours during a shift. Skills in hand coordination for grasping and manipulation of tools. Comfort in performing motions such as bending, twisting, and reaching. Exposure to approved cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures. Able to work in both wet and dry conditions. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Proficient in using tools and equipment safely. May require the use of ladders. Note:
