The Resource is seeking a
Production Supervisor
for our client, a commercial printing company, located in Browns Summit, NC. This permanent, direct-hire opportunity offers a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 and has a 1st shift schedule (Mon - Thurs, 6:00am-4:00pm). The Production Supervisor will ensure that manufactured products meet all customer specifications, including delivery requirements at manufacturing rates that meet cost standards and profitability targets. Duties will also include supervising employees and monitoring the operation of production equipment. Ideal candidates for this role should have experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities: Maintain, at all times, a safe and healthful work environment Create an environment of engagement, mutual trust, and respect Supervise employees and provide for work to be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies Monitor the operation of manufacturing equipment (printing, finishing) for optimal performance and make immediate notification of deficiencies and failures Utilize ERP system (Seradex) and Quality Management System (Intelex) to provide the required performance and quality data Train employees to produce products conforming to customer specifications and meeting production schedule while minimizing overtime Ensure compliance with all quality standards Meet objectives for waste reduction Coordinate with other departments, including Warehouse, Distribution Center, and Production Control/Purchasing to ensure availability of raw materials and work-in-process (WIP) in accordance with bill-of-materials (BOM) Alert appropriate individuals/departments to issues on shift such as production problems, equipment failure, variances, material issues, quality, etc Ensures that inventory is accounted for and listed accurately Motivates employees and offers incentives for strong work performance Keeps supervisor and upper-level management apprised of daily operations Processes paperwork for HR or upper management as required Perform other tasks as directed by the Operations Manager, General Manager, or Corporate/Executive Management
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (required) Bachelor's degree/some college (preferred) Works well with a team Maintains a professional but friendly demeanor Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience Strong interpersonal skills Ability to walk, stand, bend, and stoop for up to 12 hours Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Excellent visual acuity and color recognition Basic computer skills (MS Office)
