Production Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to lead a team of 4050 employees in a dynamic foundry environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, maintaining production efficiency, and delivering high-quality castings that meet or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a hands-on approach and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision Supervise, train, and develop employees across multiple production processes (grinders, robots, forklifts, blast equipment, air tools). Monitor attendance and performance, and administer disciplinary actions as needed. Promote a team-oriented culture and foster clear communication across shifts and departments. Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Enforce all company policies, shop rules, and standard work instructions. Lead by example in promoting a safe and respectful work environment. Production & Quality Monitor production flow to ensure efficiency and timely delivery to customers. Oversee quality control efforts to ensure castings meet QCL (Quality Control Limits) and customer specifications. Track and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement. Scheduling & Coordination Ensure daily and weekly schedules are followed to meet customer ship dates. Communicate effectively with planning, maintenance, and quality departments to support production goals. Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education or training in Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 57 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
Skills: Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbal.
Proficient in using computers and standard manufacturing software.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g., QCLs, MSDS sheets).
Solid math skills, including working with fractions and decimals.
Strong problem-solving and common-sense reasoning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising in a high-volume, industrial production setting.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
