About the Role They are seeking a Commercial Transactions Counsel to join their in-house legal team in Houston. This role will provide proactive, business-focused legal support to our oilfield services and industrial/chemical business units, with an emphasis on procurement contracts and customer agreements.

You will work closely with commercial, procurement, and operational teams to structure, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, helping the business move swiftly while protecting its interests. This is a non-litigation, transactional role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate procurement agreements, customer contracts, and other commercial documents. Advise business teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk management. Support deal structuring for projects in oilfield services and industrial/chemical sectors. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Collaborate with procurement, sales, operations, and finance teams. Provide practical legal advice balancing risk and business needs.

Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas license preferred). Approximately 5 years of law firm experience focusing on energy regulations and transactional law. Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts. Background in energy, oilfield services, or industrial sectors preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
