Oncology RN Job Details Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract) Location: Seattle, WA 98122 - Washington healthcare jobs Unit: 12E Hematology/Oncology Nursing Services Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Weekly Hours: 36 Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 - End: 12/08/2025) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1710-$1830 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Patient Ratios: 5:1 (nights) Charting System: Epic (preferred experience) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or Compact state Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required Current BLS certification Skilled in port access, chemotherapy administration, blood/blood product administration, and port management Experience with bone marrow transplant (BMT), leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and inpatient oncology care Preferred: Epic charting, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPap, procedure sedation, wound vac, and vascular device access Ability to float to medical-surgical units as needed Oncology Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to oncology and hematology patients, including clinical trials, CART, and stem cell transplants Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and manage vascular access devices (PICC, Port-A-Cath, central lines) Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage PCA pumps, feeding tubes, drains, and wound care devices Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR Float to other nursing units as needed to support patient care Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing education Apply now to join our Seattle healthcare team and make a difference in oncology nursing!
