PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location: Goldsboro, NC 27534 (North Carolina healthcare jobs) Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: December 2, 2025 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910 per week Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm - 7:00am), schedule may be 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour night shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Unit: PCU/Telemetry (3rd Floor), 28 beds (20 Telemetry, 8 Intermediate Care) Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Staffing Ratio: 1:5/6 on nights Weekend Coverage: Required (minimum 6 weekend shifts per contract) Floating: May float to other appropriate hospital units as needed PCU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PCU, Intermediate Care, or Telemetry nursing Travel nursing experience preferred Cardiac care and telemetry monitoring experience required Epic EMR charting experience required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all required for PCU RN jobs) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions) Must be able to provide care for COVID patients as needed PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular, medical, and surgical needs in a PCU/Telemetry setting Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips Administer and manage antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, antihypertensives, and anticoagulants Perform sheath/TR band removal and manage post-cardiac cath and post-pacemaker/defibrillator implant patients Utilize CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and other advanced respiratory support modalities Collaborate with IV teams, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy in interdisciplinary care Float to other hospital units as needed and respond to rapid response situations Document all care provided using Epic EMR Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process Join our healthcare team today and make a difference as a Travel PCU Registered Nurse in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
