Job Title: Plant Head – Solar Module Manufacturing

Location: New York, US

Job Summary:

Client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Head to oversee our solar module manufacturing facility. This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise in photovoltaic (PV) module production, strong operational acumen, and a track record of leading high-performance manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end operations of the solar module manufacturing plant.
• Drive production planning, quality assurance, and cost control to meet business goals.
• Implement and monitor lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate new processes and technologies.
• Manage cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain.
• Develop and manage budgets, KPIs, and reporting systems to improve plant performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred); Master’s degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in solar/PV module production.
• Proven leadership experience in managing large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setup.
• Strong knowledge of solar module manufacturing processes (e.g., cell tabbing, lamination, framing, EL testing).
• Expertise in quality management systems and production efficiency tools (e.g., Six Sigma, TPM).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in a U.S.-based solar manufacturing plant.
• Familiarity with automated and semi-automated production lines.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
