Revenue Accountant Supervisor

The Revenue Accounting Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the revenue accounting team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant recognition of revenue in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. This role is responsible for supervising staff, managing workflows, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations and reporting needs. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor a team of revenue accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Oversee the month-end and quarter-end revenue close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and transactions are accurately recorded. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue-related schedules to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Monitor and analyze revenue trends, identifying variances and working with business units to resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure proper contract setup, billing, and revenue recognition. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over revenue processes. Prepare or review revenue reports and supporting documentation for internal management and external auditors. Support system enhancements and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy. Stay current on relevant accounting guidance, industry trends, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred. 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in revenue accounting; prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition principles. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. #45909 Seniority level
