Reinsurance Accounting SME - Process Design & Testing - Hybrid, Boston or Spring

We are seeking three (3) Consultants with SME in Reinsurance Accounting to act as Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide testing support and lead business process design for Reinsurance Accounting processes.
These roles will be instrumental in defining, validating, and operationalizing new tools, processes, and system integrations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in Reinsurance Accounting under GAAP, Statutory Reporting and Statutory Accounting requirements and guidelines.
Roles require HYBRID three (3 days) at the client site in either Boston, MA or Springfield, MA.
What You Will Work On
Lead Testing & Process Design: Oversee testing support activities, ensuring Reinsurance Accounting processes are accurately designed, validated, and implemented. Define & Validate Accounting Treatments: Determine and confirm appropriate accounting treatments and settlements for reinsurance transactions in accordance with GAAP Accounting, Statutory Accounting and Statutory Reporting requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Reinsurance Operations, Project Management, and Technology teams to ensure seamless system integration and accurate data flow between platforms. Business Readiness & Change Management: Drive readiness initiatives by creating and maintaining process documentation, delivering targeted training, and managing change adoption for new tools and workflows. Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements to improve process accuracy and efficiency. What You Will Bring
Bachelor's or other Advanced Degree in Accounting or other Relevant discipline. 8+ years of experience in Reinsurance Accounting, with strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting principles. Proven experience leading process design, testing, and implementation within Financial Services or Insurance industry environments, ideally at large, complex organizations. Strong background in collaborating with Technology teams on system integrations and data flow validation. Demonstrated expertise in business readiness activities including documentation, training, and change management. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives. Consulting experience preferred; ability to work in fast-paced, project-based environments. What You Can Expect
