Financial Reporting Analyst

Centurion Consulting Group isseeking a detail-oriented and experiencedFinancial Reporting Analystto support the preparation and analysis of federal financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal accounting standards, financial reporting processes, and reconciliation techniques, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal financial statements and disclosures in accordance with A-136 and Federal Accounting Standards.
Perform accounting reconciliations and fluctuation analyses to identify significant changes in account balances.
Validate GTAS-reported budgetary and proprietary balances through edit checks and tie-point analysis.
Research and remediate differences in USSGL account balances, Treasury tie-points, and abnormal balances.
Develop and implement quality assurance checklists and review processes for GTAS submissions and financial statements.
Support training and knowledge transfer for newly developed reports and processes.
Compile and validate financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
Use system management tools to monitor and remediate vulnerabilities.
Prepare project plans, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required). Direct experience with financial statement preparation, review, reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis. Strong understanding of Federal Financial Statements and A-136 requirements. Knowledge of USSGL posting logic, GL account relationships, and edits. Ability to research GL activity and determine root causes of variances. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong writing and documentation skills. Preferred Skills:
Experience with Momentum Financial Management System. CPA or CGFM certification.
