Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Gather requirements and create detailed system documentation to develop automated applications that meet business priorities.
Provide lead programming duties for tax-related applications while mentoring staff using technologies such as J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript, and JDBC.
Assist and guide all phases of the project management lifecycle.
Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct testing and debugging of code changes in the development environment.
Coordinate migration of code changes from development to user test environment.
Support team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML, and XQuery. Ensure proper training and mentoring.
Provide support for defect and issue resolution, addressing them promptly based on priority.
Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers, communicating effectively with management and users.
Software Architect Requirements:
84+ months of experience providing guidance to large teams or extensive industry experience at the top of the field.
84 months of experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP, and XML.
84 months of experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDEs like Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ.
60 months of experience with J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts and application servers like Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic.
60 months of experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
60 months of experience manipulating and displaying JSON data.
36 months of experience with messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.
60 months of experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
