What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Gather and clean data to ensure accuracy and readiness for analysis - Perform data analysis and conduct rate reviews, recommending changes to insurance products - Assist in preparing rate filing materials and other support data - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support - Stay updated on industry developments, trends, and emerging actuarial methods
What is Required (Qualifications): - BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field, and 1 - 3 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance - OR a graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related area - Completion of two or more actuarial exams - Basic understanding of the market landscape - Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Effective programming skills in software such as Python or VBA - Prior experience in the insurance industry - Strong oral and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Willingness to engage in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups and volunteering
