Job Description:
Daily Tasks Performed: Project Management for Assigned Projects & Enhancements to new or existing systems Following client's SDLC methodology (Agile & Waterfall) and deliverables: • Manage project plan, staff tasks and progress & report status • Track dependencies and manage risk and issues • Project Communication to business and IT stakeholders • Review, refine, and validate complex business requirements and combine into a clear and prioritized backlog. • Review Technical Design with Solution Architects and Tech leads • Ensure Quality working with QA team, test planning and execution. Co-ordinate, schedule and chair meetings with multiple stakeholders & distribute meeting minutes • Create presentation & communication material relevant to a variety of stakeholders including business. • Manage Release and post launch activities end to end. Supporting Production Systems as needed. • Examine and drive team performance and ensure accurate and timely feedback to the team and transparency to Product Owner and executive stakeholders. • Support and empower the Consumer Applications delivery teams and/or Product Owners to make appropriate commitments through story task definition. • Challenge the team to continuously improve through intentional, data-driven inspection and adaption (retrospectives). • Help teams to maintain their team data and collateral, keeping relevant over time to changing needs of the business.
What will this person be working on The Consumer Applications Department of American client Motor is seeking a highly-motivated, experienced IT Project Manager who will lead the project team in alignment with the department and divisional objectives. • The PM's primary role is to help delivery teams work more effectively. With a focus on continuous improvement, the PM will work closely with the Product Owners and Project delivery teams, leading Agile practices related to customer-facing digital products. • This position requires extensive collaboration and cross-functional communication with IT, client associates, consultants, and vendors to define product goals, backlogs and roadmaps leading to successful delivery. • Responsible for the management of one or more medium to large-sized, moderately to highly complex projects. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing, and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS'
Required: • Bachelor's degree or requisite experience, training, or coursework in agile development, innovation, and process management. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager with Customer facing website, platform digital focus - Commerce, Sales, Website, platform, SAS, website compliance. • Clear communication skills and ability to communicate and negotiate with stakeholders. • Ability to collaborate well with a diverse set of team members (team player) • Strong Familiarity with Waterfall & Agile Delivery models. • Technical background to clearly understand complex business requirements and benefits of assigned projects. • Ability to innovate and multi-task with minimal oversight. • Ability to perform the role of scrum-master. • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to present to executive leadership. Preferred: • Experience delivering consumer-facing websites or digital platforms that involve complex data, transactions, or integrations. • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence tools to manage project artifacts, user stories. • Automotive industry background. • Familiarity with Clarity for Project Management and Financial Management
