Job Description:
University Cancer and Blood Center is looking for a Part-Time Courier to run our Eatonton, route on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays, and our Winder/Covington route on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery and Pickup : Transport packages and documents to and from various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Route Planning : Plan and follow the most efficient routes for making deliveries, utilizing navigation tools and local knowledge.
Customer Interaction : Maintain a professional demeanor with clients and recipients, handling any delivery-related queries or issues.
Documentation : Verify the identities of recipients before handing over packages and obtain signatures or proof of receipt when necessary.
Record Keeping : Update the status of deliveries and manage any necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience : Proven experience as a courier or in a relevant role is preferred.
Navigation Skills : Excellent knowledge of the local area, including residential and business districts, is essential.
Communication Skills : Good communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and recipients.
Physical Fitness : Ability to lift heavy packages and parcels, as the job may require physical exertion.
Driver's License : A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
