Bar Underdog is looking for an ambitious line-cook to help us launch our  cocktail bar in August!


Inspired by the iconic cocktail bars listed on “The World’s 50 Best”— Bar Underdog is a new concept developed by Master Sommelier Dennis Kelly and Michelin-starred Chef Anthony Secviar, owner/operators of  Protégé restaurant in Palo Alto. 

Our favorite cocktail bars in Tokyo, London, and New York City are applying the level of creativity and technique to beverage that Michelin-starred chefs apply to cuisine. We are extremely excited to introduce a cocktail bar with this level of ambition to Palo Alto, California.

Slated to open in late August of 2025, Underdog will feature a Chef-driven, Asian inspired snack menu to accompany the world-class cocktail program. The position will work directly with Chef Ly to execute a creative menu utilizing modern techniques and seasonal ingredients in a fun and casually presented style.

 We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to learn and eager to grow. Positive attitude is essential! Bar Underdog will be in service Wednesday-Sunday and the position is full-time .
