Job Title: Bilingual Payroll Clerk / Payroll Coordinator
Location: New York, NY 10004
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Duration: 3+ Months Contract Role
Schedule: 35 hours/week (1-hour lunch break) - Onsite at designated locations in NYC (Bellevue, Lincoln, Elmhurst, Jacobi, or Metropolitan)
Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Payroll Clerk / Payroll Coordinator for a contract position in New York City. This role is ideal for candidates with payroll processing experience, including garnishments, taxes, year-end activities, and retro calculations, as well as familiarity with multiple payroll systems, particularly PeopleSoft Payroll .
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Enter and process wage garnishments.
  • Prepare and process property payroll transfer reports.
  • Verify benefits deductions and conduct payroll audits for accuracy.
  • Maintain payroll data integrity and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide payroll-related reports and support to leadership as needed.
  • Assist with various accounting-related projects as assigned.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of payroll and timekeeping experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with payroll processing, garnishments, taxes, year-end, and retro calculations.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Payroll and other payroll systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with QuickBooks and PayChoice or Payroll Associates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
