We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your accounting skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, including PO matching, invoicing, and data entry of vendor information. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
As a Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist, you will

  • Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and expense reports.
  • Perform PO matching, verifying that purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts are accurate and complete.
  • Handle data entry of vendor information, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our vendor database.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including the preparation of accruals and journal entries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline and improve accounts payable processes.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular audits of the accounts payable process to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PO matching, invoicing, and data entry of vendor information.
  • Strong numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or similar systems.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
