Financial Reporting Senior Accountant

The Financial Reporting team seeks a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Senior Manager, this role partners with stakeholders at our Arlington headquarters and globally, serving as a key contact for accounting and financial reporting issues and supporting various deliverables.

This role primarily involves preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, assisting with SEC filings (10-K/10-Q), coordinating disclosure information, and communicating impacts of new accounting standards. It also includes implementing process improvements, system reporting upgrades, and enhancing financial analysis.

Key Skills:
  • Research, interpret, and apply technical accounting concepts (U.S. GAAP), ensuring compliance
  • Understand and comply with SEC reporting rules for quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Experience with SAP BPC, Wdesk, and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power BI)
  • Understanding of accounting systems and consolidation logic
  • Identify and implement process improvements using digital tools
  • Excellent documentation, attention to detail, and work paper standards
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills, able to work independently and in teams
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA strongly preferred
Experience:
  • 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or public/private mix
  • Experience with SEC filings in a multinational environment
  • Large public company U.S. GAAP experience
  • Exposure to complex technical accounting issues (impairments, acquisitions, divestitures, revenue recognition, leases, consolidations, equity method)
  • Experience with process improvement and digital transformation projects
