The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Coordinator, Democratic Engagement and Special Events for the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) Center for Student Engagement (CSE). This role serves as the primary contact for promoting, designing, developing, and implementing democratic engagement opportunities for ASUN and CSE. The Coordinator will: Plan and oversee democratic engagement initiatives. Collect and analyze assessment data to evaluate program effectiveness. Build partnerships with community organizations, faculty, and student groups to expand engagement opportunities on campus and across Nevada. The Coordinator also educates and advises students on special events, managing event planning, logistics, and execution for campus-wide, student-sponsored programs. This includes ensuring high-quality production, managing budgets, evaluating learning outcomes, and addressing risk/liability issues in line with university policies. This position works closely with campus departments and community partners to create meaningful experiences that foster student involvement, civic participation, and community connection. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience. Related Experience:

Student development in higher education, democratic engagement, advising of student organizations, and event planning and management or related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership in program development, administration, or related field Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and drive results Schedule or Travel Requirements: Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within specified time period Normal work week including some evening and weekend work Compensation Grade:
