Director Of Finance And Accounting

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance and Accounting to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Anaheim, California. In this role, you will oversee critical financial operations and provide strategic leadership to ensure compliance with accounting standards and efficient management of resources. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong ability to meet deadlines and drive improvements in financial processes. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Develop and enhance accounting policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency. Direct the budgeting and forecasting processes to align financial planning with organizational goals. Implement and monitor revenue recognition practices in accordance with ASC 606 standards. Analyze asset inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) to support financial decision-making. Ensure adherence to GAAP accounting principles across all financial activities. Supervise the preparation of annual budgets and provide recommendations for resource allocation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support for financial strategies. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting. Requirements: A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with leadership responsibilities. Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and standards. Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting. Proficiency in managing revenue recognition processes, particularly under ASC 606. Solid understanding of asset inventory management and cost of goods sold (COGS). Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
