Our Fab 8 team is seeking Entry-level Equipment Engineers in our Malta, NY location! The individual selected for this position will be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) organization with primary responsibilities focused on installation, support, and continuous improvement of semiconductor equipment. Essential responsibilities include: Work in close collaboration with process and manufacturing teams Establishment of the equipment engineering and maintenance related business processes necessary to run and maintain the tools in production, as well as their documentation according to quality standards Develop and train the equipment technicians. Create materials and perform training of technicians working on tools in the area Ensure close interaction with equipment suppliers. Supplier management - own escalation and work together on resolution of tool issues Advanced troubleshooting of semiconductor process tool issues Trace data analysis using OEM's application (ex. Lam DA, TEL Ingenio) Trace data analysis using current FDC implementation (FDC E3) Able to read and understand tool schematics (electrical, PIDs, utilities diagrams, etc.) Set up Equipment performance KPIs (Availability, Net MT%, PM Success), monitoring and adjustment according to fab goals After equipment start-up / ramp up, become responsible for all daily equipment engineering tasks including performance tracking, continuous improvement and cost reduction programs Ensure continuous knowledge exchange on best known methods and improvement levers with sister fabs (ex. Fab 1, Fab 7) engineers. Translate changes in other factories to improvement actions within the current fab Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Required qualifications: Education - Graduating with a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or related field from an accredited degree program Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing Language fluency - English (written & verbal) Preferred qualifications: Prior related internship or co-op experience Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong planning & organizational skills
