The Program Specialist III, under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, manages marketing and public relations for the Mature Drivers Program and helps to maintain a strong community presence. Additionally, plans, coordinates and conducts educational programming. Responsibilities: Develops and manages an aggressive marketing and public relations program using social media platforms, media, electronic communications, and other external communications/media outlets. Develops and maintains a strong community presence and builds partnerships with community organizations. Develops public education and informational materials. Develops strategies for measuring and enhancing the CarFit Technician, CarFit Coordinator and CarFit participant experience. Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring programs and services statewide. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of special reports, and other grant reporting documents. Attends meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned programming areas. Travel statewide, on average 60% of the time, to coordinate and conduct programming and fulfill job duties, including evening, weekend and overnight travel. Other duties as required Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience. Preferred Experience: Prior experience in traffic safety programming, community-based educational programing and educating adults. Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Prefer current CarFit Technician or CarFit Coordinator. If not currently trained, complete CarFit training within 3 months of hire. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, marketing material creation programs, video creation and editing. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bilingual With approval, this position may work remotely. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding. All positions are security-sensitive.
