Program Coordinator II - Mature Driver Program
Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Family and Community Health Commensurate College Station, Texas Staff The Program Coordinator II, under the general supervision of the Mature Driver Program Manager, works collaboratively to plan, develop and implement older driver traffic safety educational programming statewide. Responsibilities: -Develops and maintains a strong community presence and builds partnerships with community organizations statewide. -Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, conducting and monitoring programs and services statewide. -Assists in developing strategies for measuring and enhancing the CarFit Technician, CarFit Coordinator and CarFit participant experience. Assists in establishing short and long term goals based on program strategic planning and grant objectives. Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs. Documents program events and activities according to funder requirements. Conducts CarFit Technician training and CarFit events statewide. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of special reports, and other grant reporting documents. Attends meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned programming areas. -Travel statewide, on average 70% of the time, to coordinate and conduct programming and fulfill job duties, including evening, weekend and overnight travel. Other duties as required. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of related experience. Preferred Experience: Prior experience in traffic safety programming, community-based educational programing and educating adults. Preferred Licenses or certifications: Current CarFit Technician or CarFit Coordinator. If not currently trained, complete CarFit training within 3 months of hire. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of social media platforms. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain attention to detail and utilize sound judgment. Ability to work independently and task driven. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bilingual With approval, this position is eligible for remote work location. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding. All positions are security-sensitive.
