Cenovus is now seeking multiple dedicated individuals to join the Superior Refinery as part of their newest class of Labor Pool employees. These roles perform a wide variety of operations, maintenance, and general labor tasks in an industrial petroleum plant. This position works in a way that is consistent with standard operating procedures, specifications, and regulatory standards, with attention to safe, timely, and cost-effective operations. This position is performed both inside and outside, in a variety of weather conditions and is considered physically demanding. What you'll do: Load a variety of products into railcars and tanker trucks Maintain required records for loading, inventory, distribution, and equipment Train and work for Process Unit Operations when needed Perform assignments in Maintenance when available Aide technicians and mechanics performing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance as trained and within scope of position Responsible for a high standard of housekeeping, organization, completion of duties, and work product Contribute and align to Cenovus safety culture and standards Who you are: Legally authorized to work in the US High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree, Bachelor's degree or other relevant coursework highly valued Experience in refining, petroleum, transportation or closely related field. Basic understanding of fluid flow, hydraulics, and fuel oils Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving record Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions as outside work is required Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Possesses good dexterity and close attention to detail. Mathematical computation skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
