Chemist Position
Cenovus is seeking a Chemist for our Superior, WI, refinery. In this role you will support the Laboratory through the development of testing procedures, maintenance of the Quality Control Program, upkeep of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and completing day to day laboratory tasks. Chemists will support the hourly Laboratory staff with troubleshooting testing equipment, performance of non-routine tests to support refinery operations and collaboration with other refinery labs to implement best practices. What you'll do: Develops testing procedures utilizing published methods and applies them to available Laboratory Equipment. Maintains the Quality Control program through participation in round-robin testing and utilization of Statistical Quality Control. Provides upkeep of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to maintain and update testing schedules and management of results. Support the installation and maintenance of Laboratory testing equipment including routine repairs as required. Troubleshoot problems with Laboratory Equipment together with hourly staff to resolve issues as they arise. Completes laboratory tasks and duties in a thorough and efficient manner. Who you are: Legally authorized to work in the US Bachelor's Degree in Scientific field requiring Chemistry courses. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, ideally within the oil and gas, refining, petrochemical, or a similar industry.
