This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other duties as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Collaboration Agreement and/or other similar documentation as appropriate. We are seeking a Pediatric Advance Practice Provider to work with our team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals committed to providing quality pediatric medical and behavioral healthcare in a brand-new pediatric Crisis Center. The Crisis Center will be opening in September 2025 as part of Primary Children's newly built Behavioral Health Center in Taylorsville, Utah. The center will be the first walk-in crisis assessment center for youth in the state of Utah. In addition to providing 24/7 access to evidence-based crisis assessments, the center will also provide observation beds for youth and families that need additional time to stabilize. The Pediatric APP will generally work three 12-hour shifts per week in the Crisis Center, generally overnight from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The APP will be responsible for providing medical screening exams, physical assessment, behavioral health triage with support from the on-call psychiatry team as needed. The APP will play a role in facilitating transfers to approved inpatient units. They will serve as a resource and support for frontline staff and nurses in the psychiatric observation setting. What You'll Bring

Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active, unobstructed Utah APRN or PA license and Controlled Substance license, or the ability to obtain prior to starting employment Federal DEA Certificate II-IV BLS Provider certification Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process 2+ years of APP experience, preferably with pediatric patients in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings. Must have a strong interest in therapeutic communication and crisis intervention.
