In this position, you will be part of TASC’s agency infrastructure, whose departments collectively assure the overall quality, fiscal responsibility, effectiveness, and impact of TASC’s work, and work to advance our mission to build a healthier, safer, and more just society. We are currently looking for full-time – Senior Accountant Starting at $80,000 - $87,000; contingent upon experience, education, etc. Position Summary: The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing programmatic budgets, invoicing customers, preparing contract documentation, and assisting the Director of Finance with technical accounting, finance, and financial reporting requirements for the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Voucher, record, collect, and apply payments to contracts and accounts receivable. Assist with preparation of accounting transactions, including voucher allocation, deposits, cash receipts, one-time journal entries, and invoice preparation. Provide backup support for other accounting and financial reporting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and period closings. Prepare specialized program cost reports. Develop program budgets. Conduct accounting and financial analyses. Provide technical assistance on accounting, finance, and budgeting matters to management and program development staff. Monitor and facilitate the contracting process for select funding sources. Assist with preparation for external audits required by contracts and regulatory bodies. Our Ideal candidate: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. Minimum of three years of related accounting experience and/or training. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internet use. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
