Job Title: Lead Railroad Tie Sales RepresentativeDepartment: Sales Location: Corporate OfficePosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Railroad Tie Sales Representative to manage and grow our relationships with national box stores and large retail chains. This position plays a crucial role in driving sales, monitoring market trends, tracking inventory, and ensuring smooth order and account processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with a strong background in industrial or building material sales, capable of identifying new business opportunities and representing the company at industry events.Key Responsibilities:•Account Management & Representation:o Represent the company and its railroad tie division to national box stores and large chain retailers.o Serve as the primary point of contact for high-volume accounts, ensuring strong, long-term relationships.•Market & Pricing Oversight:o Monitor and analyze rail and tie markets to inform pricing strategies.o Provide regular updates to management on competitive pricing and market movement.•Inventory Management:o Track and report inventory levels at company yards and active job sites.o Coordinate with operations and logistics to maintain optimal stock levels.•Sales & CRM.o Enter and manage customer orders through the CRM system.o Track order status, follow up on deliveries, and ensure customer satisfaction.•Customer Engagement:o Attend trade shows and industry events as a company representative.o Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities.•Accounts Receivable Support:o Collaborate with AR to ensure accurate billing.o Address and resolve billing issues; assist in collections when needed.•Business Development:o Identify and pursue new customers and sales opportunities.o Develop strategies to penetrate new markets or customer segments.•Cross-Selling:o Assist with relay and rail sales as needed, supporting broader sales initiatives.Qualifications:•Proven track record in sales, preferably in the building materials, industrial, or transportation sectors.•Experience managing large retail or chain store accounts is highly preferred.•Strong understanding of inventory management and logistics coordination.•Proficiency in CRM systems.•Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.•Ability to travel as needed for customer visits and trade shows.Benefits:•Competitive salary + performance-based bonus•Health, dental, and vision insurance•401(k) with company match
