Unit Notes- Unit: Imaging Services Jerome Hospital - CT/Xray- General Certification Requirements: Yes, BLS- Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT registry for the modality posted, Xray and CT- How many scanners/rooms does this department have: 1 CT scanner, 2 X-ray rooms, 1 portable X-ray, 1 U/S, 1 Dexa- Will they have to float/cover any other areas: Possibly, but it would be disclosed at time of interview. We share staff with Magic Valley hospital (very rare).- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: ER, Inpatient, Outpatient exams.Portables, Stroke certified, Trauma, ER, portables, limited inpatients, NO OR, flouro. *Basic general scans, protocol book to refer to and doctor preferences"- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prefer experience with their equipment- call out if No experience. BOTH CT & Xray Experience (as long as they have worked both areas and are comfortable jumping back into one specialty if it has been a couple years). Basic general scans, protocol book to refer to and doctor preferences, understand concepts okay to get up and running).- Average # of scans/studies per day: Variable, 5-10 CT, 8-10 U/S, 10-15 X-ray- EMR &/or PACS they use: EPIC, McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS.- Department Specific Equipment: Philips X-ray and Portable, Siemens CT and Xray.- Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift: Sandra Hall, Manager. Kelsey Riggen Lead tech- Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No- Radiologist in-house: At Magic Valley, available by call- Do they have to start IVs: Yes, CT for all Outpatients, Possibly EPOC as well for Point of Care Creatinine testing fro CT (will train that).- Shifts & Scheduling: To be noted in posting, 24/7 coverage, 10 hour shifts, Days shift has 2 techs, 6p-7a one staff member some 12 hr weekends. Schedule is completed by lead tech, try not do do one on one off.- Weekend Requirements: It's a set shift, so only if it is posted.- Holiday Requirements: We down staff so typically not needed, RTO to be disclosed during interview. - Call or Standby requirement: No call.- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No scrub color requirement.- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 1-3 days of department orientation, extend if needed up to management. - Additional Notes: Melissa is our Medical Imaging educator and helps facilitate initial onboarding! Helps to bridge gaps.**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles.
