To provide customers with high-quality service by ensuring timely release and movement of freight/cargo, responsibilities include: Providing impeccable customer service. Preparing, analyzing, and submitting documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, and clients in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Anticipating, identifying, and resolving problems that could delay freight release or movement. Maintaining relationships with brokers, T&B, and other service providers to exceed customer service requirements. Resolving banking and letter of credit issues and advising customers on payment terms. Obtaining payment on delinquent accounts and completing accounting adjustments. Resolving billing issues and coordinating post-entry activities. Performing data entry and corrections, root cause analysis, and managing entry verification. Accessing client systems as necessary and communicating with business partners via various mediums. Producing operational trend reports and keeping partners informed of exception processes. Handling pre-alerts and maintaining knowledge of FedEx products and services. Interacting with customers and internal teams, supporting account management activities, and performing entry reconciliation. Developing strong relationships with front-line personnel and facilitating entry processing and exception resolution. Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED, 12 months of brokerage or transportation experience, proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. Customs regulations. This is an in-office role in East Boston, MA, with a pay range of $15.50 - $24.29 per hour. Paid training is provided.
