Director of Staffing Development (Healthcare)

Coordinate and participate in the recruiting and hiring of staff. Oversee employment documentation, payroll, and employee benefit programs. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff. Plan, conduct, and document fire, internal disaster, and external mass casualty drills. Maintain a professional appearance and develop a cooperative team environment. Use feedback from surveys, evaluations, facility rounds, and leadership to identify educational needs.

Organize and evaluate staff in-service education programs, including scheduling and record-keeping, to ensure competency and skill development. Conduct rounds to observe patient care and coordinate infection control surveillance. Supervise staff and manage disciplinary actions as needed. Complete required documentation for health department inspections and participate in facility surveys.

Provide direct resident/patient care while maintaining confidentiality. Assist with staff supervision and management.

Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited nursing school with a valid RN or LVN/LPN license; BSN preferred. - At least 1 year of direct care experience in long-term care and 1 year of educational program planning. - 2+ years of experience in long-term care is preferred. - Skills in reading technical procedures, policy manuals, and effective communication. - Ability to apply mathematical concepts and solve practical problems. - Current RN or LVN/LPN license, CPR certification, and ongoing continuing education. - Knowledge of PCC is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Occasional climbing, stooping, and crouching. Good visual acuity is required.

Work Environment:

Typically low to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
