A reputable law firm is currently seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Attorney with substantial experience in bodily injury, construction defect, and general liability cases. This remote position is ideal for a seasoned litigator who is confident managing cases independently, from pleadings through trial, and comfortable appearing in court with minimal supervision.
Location
Duties
Draft motions and legal briefs for various stages of litigation
Conduct depositions and participate in oral arguments and hearings
Negotiate settlements and manage ongoing client reporting
Handle court appearances and assignments independently
Collaborate with legal support staff as needed to ensure timely case progress
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
Proven background in bodily injury defense and construction defect cases
Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal oversight
Strong litigation and negotiation experience
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active license to practice law in the state of Texas
Licensure in additional states is a plus
Skills
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Excellent legal research and case analysis capabilities
Self-motivated and organized with strong time management
Proficient in legal technologies and remote work tools
