Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team in Miami, Florida. This is a full-time, hybrid remote position where the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to handle a wide range of family law matters with the support of senior attorneys. You will play a key role in providing high-quality legal services, collaborating with paralegals and support staff, and delivering client-centered results. Duties: Provide strategic legal guidance to clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are prioritized throughout the case. Represent clients in family law court proceedings, including hearings, mediations, and trials. Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents as required for case progression. Handle discovery, settlement conferences, and pretrial hearings, and assist with trials. Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management. Conduct consultations with potential clients, presenting the firm’s value and securing new business. Ensure accurate and timely billing for each case, and verify client funding before initiating work. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case status, expectations, and next steps. Requirements: Active membership in the Florida Bar with a valid license in good standing. 0-3 years of experience in family law, with a passion for helping clients navigate complex personal matters. Trial experience is a plus but not required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a caseload independently. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues. Self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Florida Bar membership in good standing (required). Skills: Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills. Experience in family law, including divorce, custody, and support matters. Knowledge of court procedures and legal documents related to family law. Ability to manage multiple cases at once while maintaining client satisfaction. Client-focused approach with an emphasis on clear communication and professionalism.
