Texas Healthcare Job Details Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel Nursing) Location: Brownwood, TX 76801 - Central Texas Unit: Critical Care Unit (CCU) Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 9/15/2025, End: 12/15/2025) Patient Ratios: 2:1 Weekend Coverage: Required Orientation: 12 hours Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1700 - $1820 ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Texas or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience Prior travel nurse experience required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred) Proficiency with charting systems (Altera EMR preferred) Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and advanced cardiac drips Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; respond rapidly to changes in patient condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Float to medical/telemetry units as needed Maintain strict infection control and isolation protocols Accurately document patient care in electronic medical records Apply now to join our healthcare team and explore travel nursing jobs in Brownwood, Texas!
