Job Summary
The OB/GYN position at our client company involves providing comprehensive patient care while maintaining patients' rights, confidentiality, and dignity. The primary responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of patient care, collecting and processing laboratory samples, assisting in patient education and procedures, and ensuring a clean care environment. The role also demands active coordination with healthcare partners and executing components of patient visits as directed by the provider. The goal is to deliver quality and safe healthcare while ensuring the patient's well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and relevant patient records per visit and per telephone.
- Collect and process lab samples as per company policy.
- Perform quality and safety checks on testing equipment and supplies.
- Provide patient education and administer treatments under direction.
- Assist in procedures and examinations.
- Properly handle and prepare instruments for sterilization.
- Disposal of biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to guidelines.
- Ensure a clean patient care environment.
- Maintain adequate supply stock in designated areas.
- Greeting patients and scheduling appointments at the front desk.
- Assist with billing, insurance, and quality assurance processes.
- Coordination with external healthcare partners.
- Monitoring and responding to Epic In Basket messages timely.
- Perform well visits and scheduled nursing visits.
- Complete required documentation before provider visits.
- Float to other clinics as assigned.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required from the American Heart Association.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program with certification.
- Certifications from recognized organizations like CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.
- 1 year of clinical experience in an outpatient clinical setting preferred.
