This role entails managing insurance claims with different types of insurances including HMO, commercial, and government payers. The primary responsibilities include processing up to 100 accounts daily, handling both inbound and outbound communications with commercial payers and patients, and assisting with EOB review and explanations.Responsibilities / Job Duties Handle, process, and touch around 100 accounts daily through calls and other interactions. Manage both inbound and outbound calls with commercial payers and patients. Review EOBs and explain them to patients. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently. Maintain a detail-oriented and fast-paced workflow.Minimum Education and Experience Qualification RequirementsQualifications Experience in using EMR software such as Allscripts and Veradigm is preferable but not mandatory. Knowledge in HIPPA, UBO forms, diagnosing codes, and CTB codes. FQHC experience is advantageous but not required. Basic knowledge with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Certifications are beneficial but not required.Experience 1 year or more of experience in medical billing and collections.Skills Proficiency in data entry and managing insurance claims. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Schedule / ShiftMonday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
