The HR Generalist supports daily Human Resources operations, managing functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, performance management, training, and engagement. This role ensures HR practices align with organizational goals and comply with employment laws and government contracting requirements. Ability to work onsite is required.

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Support full-cycle recruitment: job postings, job fairs, interviews, offers, and background checks.

• Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation, including HR policies, benefits, systems, and organizational structure.

Benefits Administration

• Manage employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), executive plans).

• Conduct benefits orientation, support open enrollment, and reconcile insurance billing.

• Coordinate benefit-related processes with payroll and vendors (STD, LTD, FMLA, LOA, etc.).

Compliance & Policy Management

• Ensure compliance with employment laws and federal reporting (EEO-1, AAP, VETS-4212, etc.).

• Maintain and update the employee handbook and internal policies.

• Manage personnel files, HRIS updates, and personnel action notices.

Employee Relations & Performance

• Address workplace issues, conduct investigations, and support disciplinary processes.

• Coordinate performance reviews and provide guidance on employee relations.

• Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.

Training & Development

• Track training and certifications.

• Deliver HR-related trainings and support internal professional development initiatives.

• Coordinate company training events and mentorship programs.

Employee Engagement & Culture

• Lead employee events, celebrations, and recognition programs.

• Conduct surveys and support company award submissions.

• Contribute to company culture and community involvement activities.

Communication & Reporting

• Create HR reports and dashboards.

• Manage HR communications and social media content related to employer branding.

Administrative Support

• Maintain HR and office supplies; manage mail and business card orders.

• Oversee termination processes including exit interviews and final documentation.

• Assist with company-wide planning initiatives.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

• Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Paylocity).

• Knowledge of employment laws and government contracting compliance.

• Discreet, professional, and adaptable to change.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field required.

• 2-5 years of HR experience preferred.

• HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) strongly preferred.

• Experience with employee relations and federal compliance is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods at a computer.

• Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Salary Description

$63,888.00 - $80,700.00 depending on experience
