By joining our Division of Motor Carriers as a Administrative Specialist Senior in Franklin County, youll have the opportunity to Process and review permit applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations. Enter and manage permit data within the Overweight and Over-dimensional system, ensuring timely approvals. Assist applicants with permit requirements, application procedures, and system navigation.

Summary Of Responsibilities

Approve and deny Overweight and Over-dimensional permits. Learn advanced system features for permit tracking and reporting. Respond to emails while ensuring customer service. Handle phone calls involving unique OW/OD scenarios. Place road restrictions in Restriction Manager with information from district offices.

Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In

Familiarity with OW/OD systems or other electronic permitting platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry applications. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in permitting, licensing, or a related administrative role. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:

Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:

Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
