Digital Communication Specialist

Contributes to the development of public relations and digital communication strategy and coordinates messaging in support of the institution's strategic communication goals. Provides campus wide strategic leadership and coordination of social media initiatives. Understands emerging and competitive trends and develops an engagement strategy that embraces and benefits the University's constituents. Assists with and advises on web-based marketing. Advises others within the University on digital communication best practices. Curates, creates and responds to digital messaging in support of the institution's strategic communication goals; add in about creating high-quality, on-brand and engaging original content; Utilize social media analytics tools to generate performance reports and evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns. Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Business or related field at time of application. Working knowledge of social media platforms. Experience in higher education environment. Experience capturing photo and video content. Experience with media management and social media management software. A criminal conviction investigation and pre-work screen examination will be conducted on the finalist(s). A six-month probationary period is required for this position.
