Accounting Clerk Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California, on a long-term contract basis. This role focuses on supporting accounting and operational functions for a high-profile commercial property, including tasks related to financial reporting, tenant communication, and administrative coordination. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities. Responsibilities: Process and code invoices to appropriate budget categories, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Generate monthly tenant rent invoices and reconcile daily cash receipts. Perform detailed variance analyses and assist with financial reporting tasks. Accurately allocate revenue and expenses based on property budgets and income statement categories. Maintain a thorough understanding of tenant leases to ensure correct billing and charge allocations. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and tenants during large-scale property renovation projects. Draft and distribute memos and updates related to ongoing projects. Track and manage tenant and vendor Certificates of Insurance. Schedule and monitor freight elevator access for property-related activities. Provide reception and front desk support as needed. Requirements: Demonstrated experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with tenants, vendors, and contractors. Ability to be on-site and mobile for property management and operational duties. Proficiency in accounting systems such as Avid and Yardi (experience with Yardi preferred). Familiarity with commercial property accounting processes and lease administration. Knowledge of expense budgets and rent collection processes. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
