Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate preparation and completion of company payrolls. This role involves monitoring key performance indicators, creating and managing audit reports, performing system testing, and proactively identifying improvements. The position also requires adherence to key controls. Responsibilities
Execute payroll-related activities during each pay period, including running full cycle payroll for salaried exempt, salaried non-exempt, and hourly employees on bi-weekly and weekly pay schedules. Receive and audit HR-provided payroll data via Workday files and external sources. Prepare various external vendor reports for payroll reporting purposes. Prepare payroll batches for input into ADP and audit for necessary corrections prior to finalizing payroll. Calculate pro-rated salary for mid-period new hires and terminations. Prepare and store back-up documentation to support payroll processing. Ensure recent state and local tax changes are processing correctly prior to finalizing payroll. Process period changes and adjustments as needed. Essential Skills
Previous experience processing payroll with ADP. Experience in processing multi-state payroll. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to payroll. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Experience with payroll software and systems. Qualifications
Experience with local tax withholding requirements is strongly preferred. Experience with Workday payroll and time tracking is a plus. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
