Direct Support Professional II
Join our dedicated team at the City of Virginia Beach as a Direct Support Professional II. We are committed to providing exceptional care and support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities within a residential setting. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our participants through compassionate care and person-centered support. As a Direct Support Professional II, you will serve adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting. Specific Duties: Implement Person-Centered Individual Support Plans (ISP) for up to twelve (12) assigned participants. Assist with meal preparation, hygiene care, and activities of daily living. Complete all required documentation and billing processes accurately and ethically. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all participants based on their ISPs. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments. Support participants in community integration opportunities and transport them as needed. Attend and participate in all mandatory meetings, supervisions, and trainings. Uphold participant rights, confidentiality, and follow all incident reporting processes. Collaborate productively with all internal and external stakeholders. Friday: 7am to 9am/3pm to 9pm; Saturday: 7am to 3pm A $2,500 hiring bonus is being offered for this position. Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0. $500 will be awarded in the first paycheck. $750 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations". $1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".
