The firm is looking to appoint a Finance & Accounting leader to join them in a newly created role as Chief Financial Officer, to help elevate the company internally and externally. This person will play a key role in their growth strategy to increase their AUM by $1.8B in the next 3 years.

The company has multiple ground-up Affordable Housing projects underway, operates assets across Student and Market-Rate Multifamily, and is actively acquisitive over the next 2 years and beyond.

The Role

As the CFO, you will oversee the Finance and Accounting Division of the company and be responsible for growing the business by implementing systems and processes that increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Experience with LIHTC, including Section 42 compliance, is strongly preferred.

Core responsibilities include:

Managing all accounting and finance functions, including A/R, A/P, payroll, contract monitoring, budgeting, cash flow, investments, P&L, balance sheet, financial systems, and planning.

Developing and maintaining financial strategies, procedures, and policies to ensure financial sustainability and growth.

Assessing and managing risks, serving as a strategic partner to the Executive Team and Board.

Overseeing lender activities, including negotiations, credit lines, and compliance.

Managing recurring revenue streams across various verticals such as asset management, lending, insurance, brokerage, property management, and construction management.

Providing strategic insights and acting as a problem solver for strategic issues.

Developing and monitoring KPIs related to financial systems, processes, and outcomes.

Managing relationships with banking, insurance, investment, tax credit partners, and outside service providers.

Utilizing predictive models and financial analyses to inform business decisions.

Performing risk management by analyzing assets, liabilities, and investments.

Overseeing cash, working capital, investments, and fixed assets management.
