Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse - Acute Rehabilitation Unit
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Location: Benton, AR
Job Description: We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Acute Rehabilitation Unit team. Our facility is a community hospital with 177 beds, offering a range of services including cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, and more. Located midway between Little Rock and Hot Springs, Benton is known for its outdoor recreation activities like fishing and swimming along the Saline River.
Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients recovering from various conditions, including strokes, trauma, and orthopedic injuries. The unit has a total of 17 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 6:1. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in acute rehabilitation and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit. - Collaborate with LPNs and other healthcare professionals for team nursing. - Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in status. - Document patient care and treatment plans using our electronic health record system, Allscripts. - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes.
Required Qualifications: - Valid Registered Nursing Licensure - BLS Certification - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute rehabilitation setting - Willingness to float to other areas as needed
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with common diagnoses such as Stroke, Disuse Myopathy, TBI, and orthopedic fractures.
Work Environment: - Casual dress code with a requirement of navy blue scrubs and closed-toe shoes. - Collaborate with an experienced and supportive nursing team led by the unit supervisor.
Contract Details: - Guaranteed weekly hours: 36 - Weekend hours: 12 - This position is a replacement for permanent staff with a contract duration of 91 weeks.
