Signature Event Manager
to join our team.This position will be responsible for managing the master event strategies and project plans for select Octane signature events. Essential functions include: ·Conceptualize, manage and execute master strategy and project plans for select signature events ·Manage event & program financials, including revenue and expenses ·Develop and manage event content, including topics, speakers and ancillary events, leveraging the company boards and advisory committees as key resources ·Scale events; i.e. revenue/sales, number of attendees, and ROI to constituents and the ecosystem ·Create and foster key relationships with industry, partners, physicians, investors, entrepreneurs and universities ·Work collaboratively with the team members to achieve organizational and event goals ·Identify and facilitate discussions to ensure the highest quality event experience in a digital or physical format ·Manage event vendor relationships and contracts ·Manage partner and department events as needed and assigned ·Other event-related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skill, and Experience: Minimum Experience required: ·Minimum 7+ years of experience with corporate event planning ·Proven ability to monitor and meet financial goals ·Experience leading and managing committees at the C-level ·Experience handling multiple assignments simultaneously ·Experience working in team environments ·Prior sales and marketing experience preferred ·Knowledge and experience of virtual/hybrid events and platforms ·Background in entrepreneurship, innovation, investment, tech and/or medtech preferred Skills Required: ·Superior leadership skills, demonstrating personal and professional leadership in every role you assume ·Ability to create new comprehensive event strategies to increase engagement, drive revenue and achieve organizational goals ·Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written interactions, including public speaking to a large audience ·Apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and contribute to goals ·Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain high productivity levels at all times ·Strong contributor in collaborative, team environments ·Have and demonstrate acute attention to detail ·Self-starter, ability to recognize gaps and opportunities, shows initiative ·Deliver a high quality of work output ·Strong capabilities with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, & Word This position is based in an office environment (hybrid) and may require occasional weekend or evening work for events. The Signature Event Manager will work closely with the Head of Events, Senior Signature Event and other cross-functional teams. Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 per year depending on experience, plus benefits including medical and dental insurance, 401K, and unlimited PTO.
