About The Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Pediatrics Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months of minimum recent NICU or PICU experience required Trauma Level I experience in a children's hospital in the last year is required License: Must have an active state license Certifications: ACLS BLS RRT NRP (required for those placed in L&D, determined by the client, traveler can obtain once offered) PALS preferred Must-Have: Must be willing to work every other weekend First-time travelers accepted Ability to float between PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics as needed Description: Candidates must have in-hand licenses and certifications to be considered. Experience of 18 months working in NICU or PICU, including familiarity with various ventilator systems, is essential. Potential for floating to various specialties based on facility needs is required. Home unit of assignment may vary based on staffing needs. Previous charge experience and familiarity with charting systems will be advantageous. Travelers must comply with floating requirements within the hospital or to nearby affiliates. Strong skills in acute care and pediatric critical care situations are necessary. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during their contract.
