Position Summary: The Manager of Corporate Accounting will lead the corporate accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes, including journal entries, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliations, financial reporting, and payroll (leveraging automated systems). This role requires a strategic leader with strong expertise in corporate accounting, compliance, and team management to drive financial performance and support organizational goals. Essential Functions: Oversee all corporate accounting functions, including preparation and posting of journal entries to ensure accurate general ledger maintenance. Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, optimizing invoice processing, vendor payments, and collections to support cash flow. Perform and supervise monthly account reconciliations (bank, merchant, and balance sheet accounts) to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies. Lead the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and customized reports for senior management and stakeholders. Manage payroll processes using automated systems, ensuring accurate recording of earnings, deductions, and compliance with tax regulations. Direct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Coordinate with external auditors, preparing schedules and documentation to support audit processes and ensure regulatory compliance. Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment and providing training on accounting systems and best practices. Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support company objectives. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven expertise in journal entries, AP, AR, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and automated payroll systems. Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis. Seniority level
