Responsible for directing and administering the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure accurate and timely resident assessments in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and other payor requirements. Ensures assessments reflect residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial status, and support optimal reimbursement and documentation. Essential Functions:

Oversee and coordinate development and completion of resident assessments (MDS) per regulations. Lead development of comprehensive assessment and care plans as chair of the interdisciplinary team. Ensure validity and accuracy of MDS before submission. Conduct monthly reviews of MDS for accuracy and consistency. Coordinate timely completion and submission of MDS, ensuring compliance. Train staff on documentation responsibilities. Development & Implementation:

Correct Medicare and Medicaid billing errors related to MDS. Generate audit reports and ensure billing accuracy. Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in interdisciplinary care teams and stay current with regulations. Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and the center’s policies. Resident Rights & HIPAA:

Protect resident rights and confidentiality. Follow HIPAA policies and report violations. Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing. Experience with geriatrics, PPS assessment, and OBRA compliance. Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems. Preferred Experience:
